During her Bachelor's degree in Cinema at the Lusófona University of Lisbon, her final project—a short film titled "Puto"—was featured in several national festivals and won three CinEuphoria awards: Best Direction, Best Short Film, and Top Shorts of the Year.
Her career began in advertising, where she worked with major brands such as L’Oreal, MEO, WTF, NOS, among others. She directed music videos for artists like Agir and Tiago Bettencourt, and on December 14, 2020, her first TV movie "Quando o Diabo Reza" ("When the Devil prays") premiered on RTP1, as part of the project "Told by Women". She is currently finished her first documentary “Beat on the mountain,” which follows an artistic residency in Guarda (north of Portugal) where children from the public School and Aldeia SOS (a shelter for children with family needs) created original works that culminated in a concert at the Municipal Theater of Guarda.
Fabiana was selected, through a project in partnership with screenwriter Rafael Afonso and Ukbar Films, for the Torino Film Lab Extended in the Netherlands, which took place in June 2024, in collaboration with the National Museum of Cinema of Turin.
